The mission of KCBI: To faithfully send forth the Word of God so that it will accomplish His purpose in the hearts and lives of those who receive it.
Welcome to the KCBI "Insider." Your look into what God is doing in August 2010 at your listener-supported KCBI.

Welcome back, Ron!
The leadership of former general manager, Ron Harris, helped to lay a strong foundation for KCBI's heritage of ministry. KCBI was blessed to have Ron as guest host of the Morning Show on July 14 –16. Ron Harris (left) with Mike Tirone, KCBI General Manager and Senior Vice President.

Here are some thoughts from KCBI listeners:
I loved hearing you two working together again. I woke up and thought I was in my forties again with teenagers asleep in their beds. Now they're all on their own, out of college, and I'm a grandmother! We've been listeners and supporters since 1979 (when we had to turn our radio on its side to get a good signal). Thank you for all you do for the LORD and the listeners
.

What an absolute pleasure and blessing to hear Ron and Terri on the radio! God blesses us in so many ways!
-Debbie

Thanks for bringing him back to fill in for Jim Wilson.  Jim is really great but it was like Ron had never left. I've really enjoyed his return.  We have the best in both of them and of course Terri has always been a joy.

I love Jesus and those who do his will. I love listening to KCBI, it's amazing how the topics always seem to hit home. I'm new to Facebook and computers but I love praying and rejoicing with the Lord!

KCBI is like a morning cup of coffee, you've got to have it on to wake up. Then the caffeine kicks in which is all the teaching and preaching KCBI brings to the table. Thanks for everything you are doing!
-Tynan

The best part of going to work is listening to this station! Thank you for making my drive there much more pleasant!!!!
-Karen D

Hello KCBI, thank you for your dedication in bringing the Word to the airways. I've listened for almost two years now and I truly look forward to my morning commutes when I can gain encouragement and blessings from hearing the "Good News".

Q: What is your favorite Scripture?
A: Proverbs 3:5-6 or Psalm 37:5, they're both similar and I cite them interchangeably..
Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him and He will act.

Q: What is your favorite book?
A:
The book of Revelations in the Bible. Fiction: The Left Behind Series.

Q: What is your favorite movie?
A:
Star Trek 2, The Wrath of Khan stands out; though I enjoy many movies in the Sci-Fi and Action genres.

Q: How did you come to know the Lord?
A:
As a youth, while attending a Young Life meeting.

Fun Fact:
I am active in the Boy Scouts, having been a den leader, a troop chaplain, a merit badge counselor, and a unit commissioner.
This follows the legacy set by my grandfather who was one of the earliest scouters. My son is a 15 year old Eagle Scout and my wife is a "wood badger."
I enjoy playing chess and was undefeated in high school interscholastic competition. The day is approaching when my son is going to beat me, though!

Introducing The Great Hamburger Hunt!
What's your favorite place to find a burger that is just out of this world? For me, the quality of a good hamburger is measured only by the amount of grease that drips from my elbows as I consume these bovine beauties. This particular sample, with pepperjack cheese and jalapenos, can be found at Texas Style Hamburgers in Arlington. Even though the sandwich was excellent and the price was great, it did take a while for it to be delivered to the table. All in all, I'd give this eatery a rating of 4 out of 5 buns.

If you have a suggestion that could top this patty, e-mail us and we'll be happy to try and schedule a road trip and give it a rating. Who knows, you might even see us at one of these juicy joints during the munch hour.
