Billy Graham's grandson, Will, charts his own course in ministry and Tony Dungy has a special message for this year's Super Bowl watch parties. We'll take a look at these stories and more on Christian News Weekly…Saturday at 6:30AM and 6:30PM on 90.9 KCBI.
Resources and action items:
• One nationwide prayer ministry wants Christians to begin the year 2012 with a 40-day prayer challenge. And Jim Bolthouse, the executive director of the Presidential Prayer Team, says it's been made easier by breaking it up into four minutes of Bible study and four minutes of prayer a day. Take the challenge!
• Will Graham is carrying on the legacy of his famous grandfather, Billy Graham. He'll be holding the Red River Celebration March 16-18 in Gainesville, Texas. More information is available.
• While you're gathered at your Super Bowl watch parties next Sunday, one ministry is hoping you'll take a few minutes during halftime to listen to an important message from Super Bowl-winning Coach Tony Dungy. The video message includes a personal appeal to Americans on the subject of the current orphan crisis and adoption. Dungy is involved with The Adoption Journey Project to help influence more couples to consider adoption. Download the video kit.
• As we wrap up January's Sanctity of Human Life emphasis, CRN's Dennis Page talked with a post-abortive woman known only as Melina. She described the difficulty and pain she has endured as a result of her abortions, and how God's grace and mercy has delivered her. If you're still suffering from the pain of having had an abortion, there's help available. You can find more information at www.texlife.org, www.lifecall.org, which lists Pregnancy Centers across the state of Texas, or by emailing Kyleen Wright, the Executive Director of Texans United for Life.
